A machine can read your site. Then somebody has to read it.

The scanner grades five things it can measure and names the two or three worth fixing first. It is free, it takes about two minutes, and what it cannot see is written on this page too.

Ready

Run it on your own site.

A scan of performance, SEO, content, tracking and conversion signals. It returns a grade for each and the two or three findings worth fixing first.

Up to 2 minutesNo accountNo card

  • 01Speed on mobile & desktop
  • 02SEO basics
  • 03Content structure
  • 04Tracking tags
  • 05Trust & conversion

Four steps, and
the first one is yours.

Paste an address and the scanner does the rest. Nothing to install, no account, and the result is yours whether or not we ever talk.

  1. 01Paste

    Give it an address.

Any public https page. The homepage works, and the page most of your customers land on is often the better test.

  2. 02Read

    It reads the page.

Google's own speed test on a phone and on a desktop, what the page tells a crawler, and what actually loads on the network. Up to two minutes.

  3. 03Grade

    You get the grades.

A letter for each of the five categories, and the two or three findings worth fixing first, in plain English.

  4. 04Keep

Keep it or talk it through.

Copy the link to come back to it, leave your email for the full write-up, or book a call and go through it with me.

One page at a timeIt reads the address you give it, not the whole site. Run it again on the page that brings in the work.

Five categories, and
where each one comes from.

Every score traces to a source you can go and check yourself. Where a source is unavailable the category is reported as unavailable rather than filled in.

01

Performance

Google PageSpeed Insights, plus field data

Lighthouse runs the page on a throttled mobile connection and again on desktop. Where Google has enough real Chrome visits to your site to publish it, the Chrome UX Report field data is read too, so the score reflects what visitors met rather than only what a lab measured.

02

SEO

Head signals, indexability and structure

What the page tells a crawler about itself: title and description, canonical and robots directives, headings and internal structure, reconciled against the Lighthouse SEO audits so a single source cannot carry a claim on its own.

03

Content

Heading order, alt text, link text, document title

Four checks, weighted. Whether headings descend in order, whether images carry alternative text, whether links say where they go rather than "click here", and whether the document is titled. Scored and reported, but kept out of the headline grade for the reason below.

04

Tracking

Watched on the network, not guessed from the source

The scanner records what the page actually loads and looks for Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight and HubSpot. A tag seen firing is reported with high confidence, a tag named only in the head with low confidence, and neither is reported as certain.

05

Trust and conversion

The signals that decide whether somebody makes contact

What a visitor who is ready to act runs into: whether there is a way to contact you without hunting, whether the page says who you are and where, and whether the path from landing to getting in touch survives contact with a phone.

Scan my site

Four of the five
move the headline.

The overall grade is the plain average of performance, SEO, tracking and trust and conversion. Content is scored, shown and eligible to be one of your findings, but it is deliberately left out of the number at the top.

The number at the top answers one question: is anything here likely to stop people finding you or getting in touch? Heading order, alt text and link text matter, for accessibility and for how clearly a page reads, but they are rarely why the phone is quiet. So they are graded and can surface as findings, without moving that number.

The scanner reads the site.
I read the business.

This is the honest half of the page. A free scan is a useful start and a poor diagnosis, and anybody selling you the scan as the whole answer is selling you the easy part.

01

One page, not the whole site

The scan reads the URL you give it. A site can pass on the homepage and leak on the page people actually land on.

02

Nothing behind the form

It cannot follow an inquiry into your inbox, watch a missed call go unreturned, or see whether anybody replied. That is usually where the money goes.

03

Not your CRM, not your phone

It has no access to your booking system, your calls or your customer list, so it cannot tell you which visits became work.

04

Not why a competitor is easier to choose

A machine can grade a page. It cannot read your market, your pricing or your reputation against the business three blocks over.

A report you can
keep and send on.

Yours either way. Every grade and finding shows on screen, with no call and no email required.

01

A grade for each of the five

Performance, SEO, content, tracking and trust and conversion, each scored and lettered on its own.

02

Up to three findings per category

Ordered by consequence and written as what it costs you, not as a checklist line. A category the scan could not score returns no findings at all rather than filler.

03

A link that keeps working for 90 days

Every result is saved and given its own address, so you can send it to whoever else needs to see it. After 90 days it is deleted.

04

The full write-up, if you want it

Leave your email under the results and I read them and send you the detail behind each finding, with what to fix first. Optional. The grades and findings are yours without it.

Up to 2 minutesMost scans finish sooner. The scanner gives up rather than hanging.
Five scans an hourPer network, so the queue stays open for everybody.
Public https pagesNo localhost, no bare IP addresses, no pages behind a login.
No account, no cardThere is nothing to sign up for and nothing to cancel.

Common questions.

The short answers. The longer ones, with the five places a website loses leads and how to check each, are in Why Your Website Is Not Getting Leads.

Is the website audit really free?

Yes. No account, no card, and no email needed to see your result. It is saved at its own link for 90 days.

How long does it take?

About two minutes, most of it Google’s PageSpeed test running on your page twice, once as a phone and once as a desktop.

Does a good score mean my website will get more leads?

No. It means the basics a machine can measure are in order. Leads also depend on your offer, your reviews, your Google Business Profile and whether anyone answers the phone, none of which a scan can see.

Will it find broken links on my website?

No. It reads the one page you give it and does not follow links to other pages.

What should I fix first?

Anything that stops a ready customer reaching you. Then tracking, if it is low, so every other fix can be measured. Then the findings in the order the scan lists them.

Does the scan use AI?

Only to help word the findings. The grades and the findings come from fixed rules applied to what was measured, so a score never depends on how a model chose to word something.

Overall B, 82 out of 100, and both findings were about mobile speed. How to read a result like this is in the post.

Tell me what you want fixed.

I answer my own email. The audit is yours to keep either way.
